The Merbau Flooring is a very hard, durable species. Merbau is almost as stable as teak. And although comparable to hickory in strength, Merbau has a much lower density.
Merbau is a medium - heavy timber from a large hardwood. Merbau Wood native to South East Asia, especially Malaysia and Indonesia. There are also some occurrences of Merbau Wood in New Guinea, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and northern Australia.

Merbau Floors offers wide range of colour variability from light orange brown to dark reddish brown. The Merbau wood is orange brown to dark reddish brown. The sapwood is usually pale yellow and easily distinguished. The colour will darken with age and on exposure.
